AC Coupled Tesla Powerwall with SolarEdge StorEdge solar battery storage system installed in Ulceby, Doncaster

This particular installation was a retrofit to an existing 4Kw Solar system fitted over three roofs with three inverters in Ulceby, Doncaster. The Powerwall was installed into the garage alongside the StorEdge control system.

The picture below displays the Tesla Powerwall, Inverter along with the SolarEdge AC Coupled Inverter and the StorEdge Interface. As the name suggests, the interface is the communications and wiring link between the battery and inverter.

The customer opted for the AC coupled system as they had three existing SMA solar panel inverters in place which they did not want to replace.

CTS Renewables Ltd are one of the few installers accredited to install the Tesla Powerwall, which is now directly compatible with existing SolarEdge systems through DC connection, or compatible with all other existing solar inverters through AC coupling using the SMA Sunny Boy Storage 2.5 or the SolarEdge AC Solution. We also supply and install similar battery storage systems manufactured by LG and Samsung.
