45 kW Biomass Pellet Boiler Installation using an ÖkoFEN Pellematic Maxi PES 45. This system was fitted to heat a large manor house in Normanton on Trent, Newark, Nottinghamshire. The Okofen PES45 is ideal for properties with high heat demands and commercial applications and is certified for the domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI).

To minimise the space taken up by pellet storage the customer opted for the Flexilo Compact Suction Fed fabric bulk hopper system which enables a massive 8 tonnes of storage with a footprint of just 2.5/2.5m.

A complicated installation which involved listed building consent and the boiler and hopper being installed in an outbuilding linked to the main house with 30m of underground insulated pipework.

SolaX X-Hybrid SK-SU3700 Inverter with a LG Chem Resu 6.4 EX Lithium Battery. This system was retrofitted to a 4kw Solar PV system using Panasonic HIT-240SE10 and a Powerone PVI Inverter.

We replaced the inverter with a SolaX hybrid unit which performs dual roles as solar and battery inverter. The customer now has a new 10 year warranty on the inverter system. This inverter has a wifi enable cloud based monitoring system which allows the user to view and analyse performance anytime, anywhere using a webportal or phone/tablet app.

The SolaX unit can operate with a range of battery storage units, on this installation the customer opted for the high quality LG Chem Resu 6.4 EX. This Lithium Ion Battery pack is able to store 6.4 kWh of electricity, in a fantastically small case. Size of storage was important as space was limited in the cupboard where everything is situated. There is even enough space for the customer to increase the system storage with the LG Chem 3.2kWh expansion packs.

The battery storage system has no effect on the Feed in Tariff income and export payments are deemed so are also unaffected even though there is currently no export!

By installing a complete solar package with photovoltaic and thermal, the customer is able to significantly reduce their bills through the Feed In Tariff System for Solar PV, Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive for Solar Thermal, and make the property more energy efficient.

The customer opted for Solarworld SW250AB All Black mono panels working with a SMA Sunny Boy 3600TL inverter. The thermal system uses Ezinc USB-L panels with a Dimplex pump and control package.

32 kW Biomass Pellet Boiler Installation using an ÖkoFEN Pellematic PES32. This system was fitted to heat a farmhouse and workshop with multiple heating zones and domestic hot water in Westwoodside, Lincolnshire.

The Boiler and 350 Litre cylinder were installed in an outbuilding which has a Workshop/Office attached, and then connected to the house with 16m of Underground Pre-Insulated Uponor pipework. Installed on the roof of the outbuilding is a 3 flat plate panel Dimplex Solar Thermal system.

Using the OkoFEN smart IO Pelletronic control system the Boiler is able to fully manage three heating zones, a Solar Thermal Pump Station, Domestic Hot Water Cylinder and a Secondary Return hot water pump.

To minimise the space taken up by pellet storage the customer opted for the Flexilo Compact Suction Fed fabric bulk hopper system which enables an impressive 6.2 tonnes of storage with a footprint of just 2.5m/1.8m.

The Okofen PES45 is ideal for properties with high heat demands and commercial applications and is certified for the domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI).

To minimise the space taken up by pellet storage the customer opted for the Flexilo Compact Suction Fed fabric bulk hopper system which enables a massive 7 tonnes of storage with a footprint of just 2/2.5m.

A complicated installation which involved the boiler being craned into the buildings cellar. The Boiler was fitted into one cellar room and the hopper installed into a separate cellar room but linked with 20m of vacuum hose.

This installation also benefited from Okofen's Flowtronic weather compensation and control system, thus significantly reducing overall pellet consumption.
